Program staff review Letters of Interest on an ongoing basis. We acknowledge in writing all Letters of Interest as promptly as possible. Direct communication with individual members of the Y & H Soda Foundation Board of Directors will not be of assistance and is strongly discouraged. However, if you need clarification or have questions, please feel free to contact a member of our Program Staff. Please see our Contact Us page for contact information.
Full Proposal Process
Invited Full Grant Proposal - After review of the Letter of Interest, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full Grant Proposal. At that time, the grant application and a list of items to be included to complete the Proposal will be provided to the applicant.
After Submission - Upon receipt of the complete Grant Proposal (grant application and related documents), Foundation staff will perform a more detailed review of the Proposal that will include one or more of the following activities: a site visit, meeting at the Foundation office or phone conference. Upon assessment of the Proposal, staff may recommend the Proposal to the Board of Directors for formal consideration.
Review and Funding Timetable
Final decisions on proposals may take as long as six months from the date of submission of the Letter of Interest. Typically, grants are made to cover a period of one year and funding is disbursed upon receipt of signed grant conditions. However, funding for major and larger grants may be up to five years. Specific terms and schedule of payments will be based upon the scope of the program, amount of the award and duration of the program and will be dependent upon satisfactory completion of required reporting at appropriate intervals. New applications will not be accepted for twelve months from the date of a previous denial.
